Meet Dr. Camuccio
Joseph Camuccio, D.D.S.
Dr. Camuccio received his dental degree in 1971 from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He graduated with honors receiving the Omicron Kappa Upsilon award for graduating in the top ten percent of his class. His graduate training took place in Staten Island, New York at the U.S. Public Health Service Hospital where he completed a rotating internship. He then served in the military as Chief Dental Officer at the Public Health Service Hospital in La Tuna, Texas.
Dr. Camuccio began practicing general dentistry in 1973 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and has practiced in Pompano Beach since March of 1974. He has served on the North Broward County Peer Review Committee and is a member of the American Dental Association, the Florida Dental Association, the Atlantic Coast Dental Society and the Broward County Dental Society, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. In the mid 90's his passion for cosmetic dentistry began and in 2001 Dr. Camuccio completed advanced courses in esthetic dentistry. Throughout the years he has taken hundreds of hours in continuing education, with a focus on cosmetics, implants and occlusion. He and his staff have also taken numerous courses and seminars in practice management and patient care.
In addition to creating smiles, Dr. Camuccio earned his instrument multiengine flight instructor rating and has flown competition aerobatics as well as building his Pitts Special biplane. Dr. Camuccio is married and has two children Gina and Joe. He met his wife Maggie while she was a dental hygiene student and they have been married since 1971.
